Making change happen.

Over the years I have been involved with a lot of advocacy efforts, showing up and sharing about the issues that mattered for the health and well-being of my community. Policy should be a conversation between the community and their elected representatives.

Unfortunately, I found that many elected leaders were not listening at all--in fact going out of their way to not have to hear what the community was saying. I realized if change was to happen, it was time to change the people holding office. For all those committed advocates and for all those brave ones who have run for office, I decided it was time to step up and run for office myself.

We can all do our part in making change happen.
