Remember These Days
Every night I've been making phone calls to constituents in SD22. I've heard the stories of a grandmother writing a daily journal for her grandchildren who are too young to remember this time, several who lost their jobs, children who were supposed to graduate from high school or college this year, a man who is watching worship services online from India because the Sikh Temple is not gathering, and most recently a woman who works in a group home for people with developmental disabilities.
She spoke of trying to weigh the risks of exposure with the resident's care needs--which medical appointments needed to be kept, and which could be delayed, how to get foot care for a diabetic resident, etc. Thinking of her and all her fellow care providers, and all those who depend on them.
